UTC Onyx CO2 Detector - Designed while at Humid Creative

UTC needed a new design language for their existing CO2 detector line. They wanted to make it modern and eye catching while still remaining neutral on a wall in different locations. The trick was to develop a new cover that worked with existing components and base while keeping a distinctive new language. Two versions, a wireless and wired were developed with matching language to fit over existing internal components and create a soft modern look through the use of a smooth and textured mold, sweeping light pipes, and a softer button.
